About Me
I am the technical group supervisor of the Avionics System Engineering Group and a technologist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology. I started my career at JPL at 19 and have been at the lab over 15 years spanning areas including research, the deep space network and flight projects.
I received my Bachelors in Electrical & Computer engineering specializing in signal processing & digital systems architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. I then received a Masters in Electrical Engineering from UCLA specializing in adaptive signal processing & statistical estimation theory.
Outside of my career I embrace diverse interests. I thrive on learning, exploring, and finding joy in varied ventures, from finance and real estate to cooking and home remodeling. These experiences have enriched my growth beyond the boundaries of my professional endeavors.

Need a Speaker?
Having grown up in the Greater Los Angeles Area (East LA, Compton, Long Beach, Downey, Lakewood), I enjoy talking to kids from similar origins as myself. I know the impact that a handful of people made in my life and if I can pay that forward all the better. Especially coming from socio-economically disenfranchised areas, I understand the importance of instilling hope and self-belief in their futures and capabilities.
Having gone through all the challenges ahead of them, survived and thrived to arrive at this point in my life, I hope to communicate to them that although the road ahead is long and difficult, it's not impossible and only limited by their dreams and willingness to dedicate themselves to doing the work. I was no different than them. A school counselor introduced me to AP classes, which shaped my academic career, and being mentored by my high school physics teacher through engineering competitions inspired me to pursue a path in engineering.
The benefits of these talks can be immense, offering increased motivation, improved self-esteem, and a sense of direction. What's more, I'm committed to making a positive impact, and for student events, there's no cost involved.
